Учитывая важность достижения устойчивого развития села в условиях современных вызовов и угроз, в статье рассматриваются методологические основы концепции социальной устойчивости сельских территорий, актуальной как с сугубо теоретической, так и практической точек зрения. В силу многогранности феномена «устойчивость», в том числе применительно к сельскому пространству, в работе анализируется взаимосвязь социальной, экономической и экологической составляющих устойчивого развития, выявляются факторы, угрожающие социальной стабильности, включая последствия пандемии COVID-19, климатические изменения, геополитическую нестабильность, неблагоприятные демографические тенденции. Особое внимание уделяется роли социальной экономики как теоретической и практической базы для обеспечения устойчивости в границах различных территорий, а также возможностям участия сельскохозяйственных организаций и социальных предприятий в решении социальных задач на селе. В ходе исследования, основные результаты которого представлены для публикации, подчеркивается значимость локализации социальных практик и институциональной многоуровневости в обеспечении сбалансированного социального развития сельских территорий. В заключение, в работе приводится сравнение отечественных и зарубежных подходов к исследованию социальной устойчивости сельского развития, выделяются особенности российских условий и перспективы применения моделей социальной экономики в сельском пространстве.

Considering the importance of achieving sustainable rural development in the context of modern challenges and threats, the article considers the methodological foundations of the concept of social sustainability of rural areas, which is relevant from both purely theoretical and practical points of view. Due to the multifaceted nature of the phenomenon of «sustainability», including in relation to rural space, the work analyzes the relationship between the social, economic and environmental components of sustainable development, identifies factors threatening social stability, including the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic, climate change, geopolitical instability, unfavorable demographic trends. Particular attention is paid to the role of social economics as a theoretical and practical basis for ensuring sustainability within the boundaries of various territories, as well as the possibilities for the participation of agricultural organizations and social enterprises in solving social problems in rural areas. The study, the main results of which are presented for publication, emphasizes the importance of localizing social practices and institutional multi-levelness in ensuring balanced social development of rural areas. In conclusion, the work compares domestic and foreign approaches to the study of social sustainability of rural development, highlights the features of Russian conditions and prospects for applying social economic models in rural space.
