The article is devoted to the study of the impact of digitalization of the economy on the development of accounting. Modern technologies such as ERP systems, blockchain, artificial intelligence and machine learning, their application in accounting practice, as well as the advantages and risks associated with the implementation of digital solutions are considered. Particular attention is paid to the transformation of the accounting profession and new requirements for its competencies in the digital economy. Based on the analysis, recommendations for adapting accounting processes to the challenges of digitalization are proposed.
