The relevance of the research is due to the fundamental restructuring of the structure of the global economic space under the influence of technological breakthroughs of the fourth industrial revolution, geopolitical fragmentation and the consequences of global crises. After 2021, the classical model of globalization gave way to a new architecture based on trans-regional megapartnerships, digital sovereignty, and localized high-tech manufacturing. In these circumstances, it is especially important to rethink Russia's role in the new coordinate system of the global economy. The purpose of the study is to analyze the transformation of the global economic space in 2021-2024 with an emphasis on the role of Industry 4.0, the evolution of megapartnerships and the prospects for technological import substitution in Russia. The research uses methods of system analysis, comparative analysis, statistical data processing, as well as methods of historical, economic and institutional analysis based on data from the World Bank, UNCTAD, Rosstat, WTO and reputable analytical agencies (McKinsey, ING, Bloomberg). The results of the study include the identification of the dominant trend towards a "new type of globalism" – decentralized, digitally integrated and focused on regional alliances. The hypothesis of reducing the role of offshoring in favor of reshoring and "friendly shoring", as well as the transition to an export-oriented, rather than a closed model of import substitution, is confirmed. It is shown that without deep technological modernization and synergy between scientific, technological, industrial and innovation policies, Russia risks becoming on the technological periphery. In conclusion, the thesis is formulated on the need to develop a comprehensive "Make in Russia" program as a national project aimed at creating competitive export technological products and integrating into new value chains through megapartnerships with BRICS+, SCO and EAEU.
