In modern conditions, the formation of additional income for elderly people is facilitated by the mechanism of non-state pension insurance. The development of the non-state pension insurance system is an important element in the formation of a civilized financial market in Russia. Voluntary and compulsory pension insurance are interrelated and complementary, and their intersection point can be safely identified as non-governmental pension funds. In a situation where the number of pensioners in the Russian population is increasing from year to year, and the number of able-bodied people is decreasing, the role of non-governmental pension funds should be strengthened. The article analyzes and evaluates the activities of non-governmental pension funds in the Russian Federation.
