Lifelong learning is no longer a utopian idea and is becoming a pedagogical reality of the 21st century, driven by rapid technological transformation, changes in the structure of the labor market and an increase in active life expectancy. The article reveals the evolution of the lifelong learning concept from a declarative principle to a systematic educational strategy covering formal, informal and informative learning. The key challenges are analyzed: the need for constant updating of competencies, age inclusion, adult digital literacy, motivation to learn beyond adolescence. Special attention is paid to the transformation of the teacher's role from a knowledge transmitter to a designer of flexible, personalized, and learner-centered educational paths. It is emphasized that the implementation of lifelong learning requires not only new technologies and formats, but also a change in the pedagogical philosophy: from the paradigm of "learning once in a lifetime" to a culture of continuous growth supported at the individual, organizational, and governmental levels.
