The development of the insurance market is a priority for the modern Russian economy. There are many ways to improve the quality of services provided by Russian insurers, one of which is increasing their information transparency. This article examines the role and place of transparency in the modern insurance market. The study concludes that the advantages of increased information transparency by insurance companies are mutual: it benefits both interested parties, who seek to eliminate information uncertainty in their interactions with the company, and the insurer itself, which gains increased loyalty and trust from its key stakeholders. The article also outlines the key principles of high-quality information disclosure: it must be complete, relevant, timely, accurate, publicly accessible, reliable, and understandable. The findings can be used in analyzing not only the Russian but also any other insurance market.
