This article examines the risks of investing in Russian exchange-traded mutual funds (ETFs). Key risk factors are considered, including macroeconomic instability, securities market volatility, inflation, and changes in tax legislation and the regulatory environment. Particular attention is paid to specific risks associated with the industry characteristics of individual funds, such as dependence on raw materials, sectoral asset concentration and geopolitical risks. The article analyzes risk management tools used by management companies, including portfolio diversification, hedging, and the use of financial investment insurance instruments. Recommendations are provided for investors on selecting optimal investment strategies based on the level of risk assumed and expected returns.
