Methodological approaches to assessing the readiness of manufacturing enterprises for digital management transformation

Abstract:
This article examines current methodological approaches to assessing the readiness of commercial manufacturing organizations for the digital transformation of management systems. The author justifies the need for a comprehensive readiness analysis based on an assessment of technological, organizational, human resources, and financial factors, which helps avoid the failure of digitalization projects, 70% of which fail to achieve their goals due to poor preparation. The paper presents an original methodology developed by the author, comprising 25 criteria distributed across five key areas: technological, organizational, human resources, financial, and managerial readiness. The results of the practical testing of the methodology are described using the example of three enterprises of varying sizes, which revealed “bottlenecks” in the human resources and financial spheres. Differentiated recommendations are formulated for enterprises with varying levels of digital maturity ¬ from entry-level to leadership. The application of the proposed toolkit allows companies to objectively assess their internal potential, minimize risks, and improve the effectiveness of strategic planning in the digital economy.
