The paper presents a comprehensive analysis of the regional economy in the fields of tourism, viticulture, and winemaking. The study systematizes current data on the tourism sector of the regional economy, identifies instruments of government regulation and support in the tourism and wine industries, and evaluates their impact on the prospects for the development of wine tourism. The object of the research is the system of government support for wine tourism in Krasnodar Krai, while the subject of the study includes the regulatory, economic, and organizational mechanisms for the development of wine tourism as part of the alternative tourism sector in Krasnodar Krai. The aim of the study is to assess the effectiveness of the implemented government support measures and practices, with the identification of key directions for further development. The objectives of the research include: analyzing the regional economy as a whole and its tourism sector; examining regulatory acts and strategic documents in the field; evaluating support measures for the wine and tourism industries and the results of the activities of relevant public authorities; reviewing existing practices; and identifying development directions. The methodological framework of the study includes a comparative analysis of the existing route and its analogues, statistical analysis of economic and sectoral indicators, evaluation of the results of activities of public authorities and stakeholder groups, and the formulation of conclusions and development directions for wine tourism.
