Abstract:
The article discusses BIM technology as a tool for ensuring economic security throughout the life cycle of a construction project. The research problem is related to the fact that the traditional construction project implementation system, based on disparate design and estimate documentation, makes it difficult for participants to coordinate, increases dependence on the human factor and increases the likelihood of financial losses. The purpose of the article is to identify the BIM capabilities to reduce economic risks at the design, construction and operational stages. The methodological basis was the analysis and comparison of domestic publications on information modeling and management of investment and construction projects [1-5]. It is shown that BIM should be considered not only as a means of three-dimensional modeling, but also as a single information environment that allows detecting collisions at an early stage, coordinating the timing and cost of work, and maintaining data continuity in operation. It is concluded that the economic effect of BIM is determined not only by the functionality of the software, but also by the quality of organizational regulations, data exchange standards and the responsibility of project participants.
