The article discusses methods and technical means of aircraft navigation (AV) that ensure accurate and safe flights in special conditions (the Arctic, oceans, and sparsely populated areas). The problem is caused by the lack of ground references, difficult weather conditions, and insufficiently developed radio navigation infrastructure. The purpose of this work is to justify the choice of the optimal set of navigation tools to achieve the required reliability in special conditions and to assess the economic benefits of their implementation, including the prevented damage and payback period. Quantitative calculations confirm the feasibility of the proposed solutions, both from a navigation and economic perspective.
