Authors
This paper examines the impact of various collaborative robot configurations on ergonomics and productivity in Russian distribution centers amid labor shortages and the transition to the Industry 5.0 paradigm. The article presents a methodology integrating standard ergonomic assessment methods (RULA, NIOSH), kinematic analysis of the workspace, and deterministic productivity calculations. The author's proposed methodology allows for predicting reduced biomechanical loads, increased productivity, and project payback periods before physical integration, minimizing risks and accelerating management decision-making in the Industry 5.0 environment. The results of the study substantiate human-centered automation as a strategic tool for increasing the resilience of logistics operations and identify promising areas for further work, in particular, the development of a dynamic model for distributing tasks between humans and cobots in real time, taking into account the current level of operator fatigue, the adaptation of the proposed methodology for use in industries with a high proportion of manual labor, and the integration of ergonomic metrics into predictive analytics systems to ensure proactive health management of personnel.
