Pension insurance is an integral element of social protection of the population of each country and a guarantee of stable development of society. The trends in the development of pension systems in foreign countries are of interest due to the fact that this experience can be applied in our country in the strategic management of pension system development. The study of non-state pension insurance is important because the government policy of most countries of the world is aimed at expanding additional pension insurance. The article discusses the main characteristics of non-state pension insurance in foreign countries. A comparative analysis of the international practice of non-state pension insurance is carried out, the role of non-state pension insurance in the pension system of the countries of the world at the present stage and the trends of its development are determined. The factors influencing and influencing the management of foreign pension systems in the long term are noted
