The article examines institutional mechanisms that support the digital adaptation of older adults in the context of building an inclusive digital economy. Using an interdisciplinary framework, the study systematises mechanisms at the macro, meso and micro levels (public policy, corporate HR practices, educational programmes, family and community initiatives) and distinguishes between formal and informal instruments. A typology of these mechanisms is proposed and their effectiveness is assessed against the criteria of coverage, sustainability, targeting, and contribution to the development of older people’s human capital. The analysis reveals major gaps, including territorial and sectoral disparities in programme development, insufficient personalisation of measures for different groups of older adults, limited resources in small businesses and the social sector, as well as the dependence of informal support on the volume of social capital. The article formulates recommendations for public authorities, organisations, educational institutions and communities aimed at strengthening coordination between governance levels, developing corporate strategies for digital adaptation of an ageing workforce, expanding adult learning opportunities, and institutionalising volunteering and intergenerational learning initiatives. The scientific novelty lies in a comprehensive typology and comparative assessment of institutional mechanisms that foster digital literacy among older adults, which clarifies priority directions for reducing the age related digital divide.
