Methodological basis of assessing the effectiveness of development institutions (on the example of assessing a development institution as an economic entity)
Abstract and keywords
Abstract:
Methodological basis of assessing the effectiveness of various types of organizations have traditionally attracted considerable attention in the scientific community. Assessing specific types of organizations, such as development institutions, is particularly challenging due to the lack of consensus regarding the particular criteria that will determine whether such an institution is functioning effectively. Based on the analysis and synthesis of various authors’ positions, this article examines scientific and expert approaches to assessing the effectiveness of development institutions as economic entities. This approach to assessing the effectiveness of these institutions is quite widespread in both theoretical and practical terms, although it is not the only one. The study concludes that the choice of a specific methodology should be determined based on the organization’s goals and operating conditions.
