Formation of cultural and historical competence using the Museum mobile application

Abstract:
The article presents the results of a study aimed at the development and testing of the mobile application "Museum" for the Android platform as a tool for the formation of cultural and historical competence of students. Based on theoretical analysis and synthesis, the competence structure is determined and a pedagogical application model is developed that implements the principle of three-level immersion in the cultural and historical context: information-analytical, activity-research and reflexive-evaluative levels. The design and technological methods used to create a prototype are described, including UX/UI design and a modern Kotlin development stack. The results of a pedagogical experiment involving 9th grade students (N=64) confirmed a statistically significant increase in the level of knowledge and motivation in the experimental group compared with the control group. The didactic possibilities and limitations of the application implementation, as well as its development prospects are discussed. The study demonstrates the effectiveness of a pedagogically grounded mobile application as the core of a new educational practice in the field of cultural and historical education.
