Formation of media competence among students of technical specialties in the process of developing a mobile application

Abstract:
The article presents the results of a study on the development and implementation of the mobile application "Movie" for the Android operating system as a tool for the formation of media competence among students of technical specialties. Based on the principles of pedagogical design, a product was created that combines practical functionality (working with a movie catalog, ratings, recommendations) and educational tasks. The application architecture has been developed using modern technologies (Kotlin, MVVM, Jetpack Compose, Retrofit, Room), ensuring its modularity, performance and compliance with Material Design standards. As part of the pedagogical experiment, the application was integrated into the training module "Development of client-server applications". The results of the testing confirmed an increase in the level of technical competencies of students, an increase in motivation for learning and the development of skills in critical analysis of media content. The article discusses the synergetic effect of combining technical implementation and pedagogical design, as well as the prospects for using such projects in the educational process.
