This study is a comprehensive structural and functional analysis of the forced labor system in Colombia as a system-forming element of the socio-economic architecture of the state. The paper provides a detailed deconstruction of the historical, institutional, and economic determinants that led to the transformation of slave labor from a marginal practice into a pervasive element of the economic system. Special attention is paid to the analysis of symbiotic relationships between formal and shadow sectors of the economy, mechanisms for the integration of forced labor into global value chains, as well as institutional factors that ensure the sustainable reproduction of the exploitation system. The study identified and quantified the degree of institutionalization of forced labor, manifested in the annual economic turnover of the system. Based on empirical data, a multilevel analytical model has been developed that demonstrates the functional interdependence between archaic forms of labor relations and modern economic processes. In the final part, a probabilistic forecast of the evolution of the forced labor system in the medium term is presented, critical points of systemic stability and potential vectors of destruction of the established paradigm are identified.
