The article provides a comprehensive analysis of the current state of the healthcare system in the Republic of North Ossetia – Alania. It focuses on key medical and demographic trends for 2022–2023, detailing dynamics in birth and mortality rates (including by major cause), infant mortality, and life expectancy. A separate section is dedicated to monitoring the regional implementation of the national "Healthcare" project, particularly regarding the equipment of medical facilities and staffing. Based on a representative sociological survey, the study assesses the population's satisfaction with the accessibility and quality of medical care. The research systematizes the key structural and resource problems characteristic of regional medicine, such as shortages of specialized doctors and uneven distribution of infrastructure. In conclusion, specific recommendations are formulated for the republic's healthcare authorities, aimed at overcoming the identified limitations and improving the system's overall efficiency.
