The article examines the impact of the economic behavior of workers of pre-retirement age on the formation and transformation of their labor strategies. The relevance of the topic is due to demographic aging, an increase in the retirement age, a change in the employment structure and the increasing importance of older age groups in regional labor markets. Economic behavior is understood as a set of decisions related to income, consumption, savings, assessment of economic risks, attitude to retirement expectations and willingness to invest in their own human capital. It is shown that the economic attitudes of workers of pre-retirement age directly affect the choice of a labor strategy: maintaining the current workplace, finding additional employment, switching to flexible forms of work, vocational retraining, reducing labor activity or early exit from the labor market.
