This article examines ways to improve the effectiveness of human resources management at the East Siberian Directorate of Railway Stations (ESRDS) through the implementation of a key performance indicator (KPI) system, as it directly impacts the ESRDS's operational results. In this context, operational effectiveness is viewed not simply as plan fulfillment but as a comprehensive indicator reflecting the optimal use of resources to achieve strategic goals amidst the unstable economic situation at Russian Railways Holding Company. An analysis of financial and economic performance indicators for 2025 was conducted, identifying the relationships between labor productivity, employee motivation, and operational results. The KPI system, linked to revenue, passenger traffic, and commercial turnover, not only encourages employees to master new digital tools but also directly links their motivation to the implementation of the company's strategic initiatives. The differentiated approach to performance evaluation proposed in the study allows for a more accurate alignment of employee compensation with their actual contribution to business processes.
