Digital B2B Platforms for Supplier Search: Functionality, Interaction Models and Comparative Analysis of Aggregators Under Geo-Economic Fragmentation
Abstract and keywords
Abstract:
The article focuses on the analysis of digital B2B platforms as a tool for strategic sourcing and reducing transaction costs in the context of complex global supply chains. It examines the key features of B2B aggregators, including the search and filtering of suppliers based on industry, geography, and pricing criteria, the automation of RFQ procedures, and the use of trust-building mechanisms such as ratings, verification, and reviews. The article also highlights the role of platforms in standardizing procurement processes and reducing the time it takes to find new suppliers. A comparative analysis of leading international and Russian aggregators has been performed in terms of functionality and market coverage. It has been shown that global platforms provide a wide range of offerings, but require advanced risk management when working with foreign counterparties, while regional platforms benefit from their knowledge of local specifics and well-established logistics infrastructure.
