This work presents a methodological systematization of design activity. The resulting framework serves as the basis for describing the expert evaluation of design products (EEDP). It serves as a semantic model and suggests a systematization of the management space for the promotion of designer products, defining a continuum of the intellectual and activity aspects of design activity. The need for its development is due to the fact that in the design space there are many terms and approaches to understanding the essence of its activity, and the lack of an accurate understanding of the context of the product of activity affects its assessment, both by users and experts. The categorical-activity (transformative) approach to concept formation as a research method creates a thematic structure, systematizes information, and identifies connections between categories. The resulting research findings address current challenges associated with the dynamic state of the modern world.
